LIDAX has developed a RAMAN spectrometer demonstrator prototype of the future Flight Spectrometer and foreseen operation on the ground of Mars in the frame of EXOMARS mission.

This development includes opto-mechanical design, manufacturing, integration and functional verification.

The equipment has the following features:

  • Suitable for Hamamatsu C10151 CCD
  • Bi-stable shutter
  • Input for FC Fiber connector
  • Grating size: 40x30x2mm
  • Manual adjusting system for the grating in Tilt [±1.5º]
  • Mass: 1340g
  • Dimensions: 200x158x93.5mm
  • Main body is made of Al 6082 T6 black anodized
  • Operative Temperature Range: (TBD)[+10ºC to +50ºC]
  • Robust and resistant, dust and light tight

The purpose of this device is double:

1. Firstly, providing reliable results at readings of spectra with the same optical scheme of the future Flight Spectrometer which will be incorporated to the Rover for EXOMARS.

2. Secondly,  helping as a useful scientific tool for future investigations.
