A motion system based on the elastic deformation of very thin flexures avoids the use of lubricants or greases, providing a very smooth movement with high accuracy and repeatability at these extreme conditions.

The units incorporate a stepper linear actuator and a capacitive sensor for closed loop control.

The unit is suitable for use in on-ground cryogenic instrumentation, and space environment, once qualification is carried out.
